Alternate ending of Act 3:
Nora: That our life together could be a real marraige. Good-bye.(She goes through the hall door)
Helmer:(sinking down on a chair by the door and burying his face in his hands) Nora!Nora! (He rises and looks round) Empty! She's not here any more! (With a glimmer of hope) "The greatest miracle of all...?"
Helmer: Wait Nora! Wait!(He rushes to the door and runs to Nora) Give me a chance to make this "miracle"happen for you!I can't loose you.(he reaches for her arm)
Nora:(She turns around suddenly) Don't you understand Torvald? I was never yours! You lost me since the day this marraige began! I'm nothing but a doll to you.
Helmer: No Nora, no. You mean so much to me I need you! The children need you! I-
Nora: No Torvald. I do not love you anymore, I'm not even sure I did even when I saved your life. Maybe I was just pretending to love you. I need to find myself. I need to figure out what I'm going to do with myself for the rest of my life.
Helmer:(he grabs both her shoulder's)I can help you. I won't treat you like a doll at all! We'll talk like husbands and wives ought to!
Nora: Let go of me Torvald. Physically, and mentally. I need to go now, so for the last time-Good-bye Torvald Helmer.
(Helmer let go of her shoulder's, and stood speechless.Nora turned back around and continued her journey to find herself in the world. Suddenly Nora smiled,because she felt as though a wheight has been lift off of her and for the first time, she felt..free.)

Act 2 post:
I think Nora is more nervous in act two because of the letter that Krogstad writes to Helmer. Mrs. Linde is going to talk to Krogstad on Nora's behalf, helping her. And I think its right that Helmer is going to fire Krogstad, because Krogstad does have a bad reputation and can ruin Helmer's. It was surprising to find out that Dr. Rank had feelings for Nora, she was going to ask him for oney but this shocking confession I think, was what stopped her from asking him for money.Dr. Rank told her:"Well at any rate you know that I'm at your service body and soul"
Expressing just how excruciating his feelings are for her.
The miracle that Nora wants is that Kroagstad's letter will make her husband feel compassionate for Nora, not turn against her. I don't think that Nora is going to end up killing herself because I think she's more sane then that, if anything I think she'll leave.

A Doll's House - Act 1
Act 1 post:
I think Nora is a clever character because, she might seem very childish in the play but I think she's really smart. She did'n't want to see her kids because she thougt that she could possibly corrupt them, just trying to set a good example. And a lot of people such as friends and her own husband don't take her seriously but she knows what she's doing, even her close friend Mrs.Linde doesn't think Nora is worth it, meaning she doesn't think her smart enough or powerful enough either. Helmer is a proud man that likes to keep his reputation on high standards, he cares for his wife but doesn't take her seriously.
Krogstad blackmailed Nora, to threaten to tell helmer about her forging, and her borrowing money from him.The quote"There's something constrained, something ugly even, about a home that's founded on borrowing and dept" Ii think this means that a marraige shouldn't be based on lies, such as secrets, like Nora keeping a secret from helmer. The macaroons are even a lie, she's more like a trophy wife, she can't gain wheight because then it'll look bad on Torvald's behalf. He's full with pride, his reputation can't get ruined just because his wife isn't meeting his standards.

Doll's house post
Hi I'm karen, and what I liked most about the english class this year is that we try learning in many different ways; like different kinds of activities.
The author of A Doll's House, Henrick Ibsen was born in Skien a town in the south of Norway.His father Knud Ibsen was a merchant but had financial issues which brought their family to a different social position. He realized that his father's friends comepletely stopped their connections with him and they moved to Venstop farmhouse. Ibsen, as a child wanted to become an artist, and his mother loved the theatre. Henrick's education was stopped because of poverty at 15. In 1846, he went to an irregular school. In this same year he wrote two plays Catiline a tragedy, and The Burial Mound. He then hoped to become a physician but he did not succeed in university entrance examinations.
The title of the play may be about maybe a little girl in the story who has a doll house and what gos on in her life also happens to the doll's in the doll's house.And in the doll's house there could be a lot of social statuses and drama and there was a lot of that in Henrick's life too.
